I own a 2001 Honda Accord EX coupe and last night I lost my original key with the alarm remote. I have a spare key and I was wondering if there is any way to disable and remove the alarm so i can drive the car until I can get a new alarm installed. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Depending on what brand you have, (aftermarket) one way is to turn the key to the on position while pressing the valet button (a small push button or toggle) that is usually under the column or in the kick panel area. This should send the alarm into the "valet" mode.

If you have the OEM alarm, I don't know what to do.

The alarm was in installed by the previous owner and I only got one remote. I unlocked the car with my spare and the alarm went off then I turned the key to the on position and turned it back(repeated about 5 times) and the alarm turned off. But when I try to start the car it goes off again. I tried looking for that little button but I couldn't find it anywhere. Ive contacted a installer and hes going to try to find me a new remote. Any other suggestions?

try contacting the previous owner, ask them if they have the extra remote or ask them where they got the alarm installed from. and then go from there
