Yes 4door,
These are my OEM Stanleys. Blackhoused, yellowed high beams, and mini H1 retrofitted.
If you don't use OEM Stanleys the projectors will stick out more in the housing and will not fit correctly. The Morimoto mini H1 is definitely the cheapest and easiest to do.

Thats a clean install and looks great. I can't wait till i'm ready to do mine, I just hate having to cut into a new headlight housings. My worry is that i've never done one of these before and would like it to turn out like yours did. Where did you buy these projecters? because the only ones I've been looking at are the tsx ones, and I didn't really wanna spend $400 on projecters.

Re: Diy: Bi-xenon: Morimoto mini d2s 2.0

Which ones in particular? Morimoto H1's, OEM?

I believe the Morimoto Mini D2S projectors are the best value on the market for several reasons:

-You can by them new
-They cost less than most any OEM
-They come with clear lenses
-They perform better than 90% of the projectors out there IMO, only surpassed by TSX/S2000 and maybe a couple others
-They're compact, making for easy retrofits
-They're Bi-xenon, which is just another plus when you consider the benefits I listed above
-They come with good sales support
-Parts are readily available and affordable
The D2S projectors are actually some of the worst performing retrofits. The MH1 out performs it as well as a lot of OEM projectors. Check out the HID Planet forum. It's essentially the TRS forum Those people know what they are talking about. Most people there call the D2S projectors crap compared to others.

That's disheartening to hear, and I'm sorry you feel that way base upon what someone said on a forum, but I can't say I've had any negative experiences in my own use. Perhaps they have some quality control issues? I've spent a fair of time on the HID Planet forums, but never read anything bad about the Morimoto D2S projectors myself. I threw these into my old housings back in August, and ran them till late October when I garaged the Accord, and was extremely tickled with their performance up until the day I removed them, and even recently as I test their alignment in the new housings.

I'm not sure how to interpret your comment. At first I thought it was a back handed compliment belittling my decision to use these projectors, but since you use only OEM projectors from reputable sources, you certainly have no real hands-on experience with the Morimoto D2S Bi-Xenons. Therefore, I'll assume your comment wasn't directed at me personally, and you were just being a troll.

Whichever it is, I am 110% satisfied with the results thus far, both with my first install, and the new one. I think I'll let my results speak for themselves once this has been completed.

I was not pointing it towards you. as i stated it should come out good . Im jus agreeing with the person above they they are not the best quality. They are made for fast and easy installation. Of course many may like it because yes it does push out light for u to see. But comparing to others from research they are not the best.

Most turn to it because its small and fits right into out headlights. Deffinetly looks good but canot compare to audi or bmw etc. when it comes to light output
