Fkn awesome! I didn't really have a problem with it popping my console out, it just moves it a tad when 5th/reverse is engaged. I also have the fidanza adapter. I'm sure a little underside trim could solve it, but I can't be bothered. Never heard of it totally popping out..

Nonetheless, I want to wrap mine in carbon fiber now haha it looks perfect!

In order to use the original panel I would've had to cut a hole in it and the short shift adapter would be sticking out of it. Before I came up with this idea I grinded down the underside of the stock panel until it was paper thin and it still popped it off every time I put it in reverse. The new panel that I made sits about a 1/4 inch higher and barely clears the adapter, so keeping the stock panel was not an option. Besides the cup holder delete shaved off a few ounces and like I said I needed an excuse to work with carbon fiber.

I considered the fidanza and this just killed it. Thanks for that tidbit of info :ugh2: looks like i'll be looking for a pspec

im so glad to hear mine isnt the only one that pops the plastic out/up everytime going into reverse or 5th..and i broke a few clips to it,so mines alot more noticeable cuz it just pops out..ha
BUT real short shifter soon FTW..nice right up..very cheap CF pricing..I bought mine in bulk to save money..got alot left.

I'm not too worried about the cup holder I didnt use it that much and when I did I usually just put random things in there like change, nuts and bolts, and junk, pretty much everything but a drink.

So today I took out the little cubby under the radio and the panel above it and installed a carbon panel to put my foglight and fan switches and in the future a gauge or two. Heres how it came out.

looks good man! i dig... and at first with the fidanza short shifter... it used to pop out and I'd smash it back down and eventually it just wore a path in it and it doesnt pop out or move ne more it took it about a year n a half to do so but all is good! lol and no it didnt wear a path all the way threw the plastic. but I dig the c/f parts... could you've rapped the original piece n just mounted it higher?

Yeah I could've done that but I wanted to make a new panel that would be lighter and look good and I didn't want to keep the cup holders. Weight reduction FTW!
