DIY spray painting rims

    lol i know im getting those coils on hopefully soon, and yea the paint shouldn't chip considering the fact that i put 3 coats of acrylic clear coat on. :thumbsup:

    How well does the paint hold up? Do you have any pics after a month? Also did you put a clear coat on them?

    Looks good. I would have sprayed the center caps separately though.

    that looks real nice. what brand of paints and what method did you use? i want to do this.

    did my wheels like the DIY, came out flawless. sanded down w/ 400girt. then used this paint-thinner like stuff to clean them before painting. i then heated up the rims w/ a heat gun and put 1 layer of paint on. then i sanded down that layer of paint and cleaned them after paint. heated them up between each coat and put on 4-5 thin coats. then 3 coats of clear.

    That looks really good. Great job with the prep work. I would hit it with more clear though, unless you used the Duplicolor clear. Any pics of them on the car?

    lol makes me think of my rims... but i did em matte black with gloss center caps haha
