did my wheels like the DIY, came out flawless. sanded down w/ 400girt. then used this paint-thinner like stuff to clean them before painting. i then heated up the rims w/ a heat gun and put 1 layer of paint on. then i sanded down that layer of paint and cleaned them after paint. heated them up between each coat and put on 4-5 thin coats. then 3 coats of clear.

That looks really good. Great job with the prep work. I would hit it with more clear though, unless you used the Duplicolor clear. Any pics of them on the car?
