taking out the single din and the cubby is the easy part. You can find the screws to take off the face in any accord shop manual

you are gonna have to get the harness for the radio that fits the accord. you get that harness installed, its pretty much easy sailing from there, plug it in, push it in and follow the directions backward from the honda manual that showed how to uninstall the oold one

I have a D3 as well and it was a pretty basic install, you should use the stock mounting brackets from the stock radio might have to dremel down a nub or two. then it will mount like OEM.

did you use a metra kit?

twice as hard as doing a single. There is nothing to it. some concepts just a different mounting style.

No metal cage.

Your deck (as long as you buy it new) should come with everything you need to mount it...

You just need to get the wiring harness like everyone said.

My double-din (JVC KW-NX7000) was the easiest thing i've put in my car...lol

Your problem is going to be finding a double-din kit in a retail store. I ended up having to order online. Other than that it's straight forward, same process as installing a regular head unit. Only differences I can imagine are if you have GPS, you'll have a speed-sensor wire, GPS antenna & wire
