drilling holes to make 4x114.3 lug pattern?

i'm looking at the enkei bortex rpm2 wheels but they don't make it in 4x114.3 lug pattern at all. so i was wondering is it possible to just professionally drill a 4x114.3 lug pattern on each wheel that already has a 4x100 lug pattern?

Sounds like more work that its worth for a set of wheels, all the while risking the structural integrity of the wheel itself from cracking under stress. It'll more than likely have to be done on a CNC machine.

I believe that universal 4 lugs are structuraly stronger than if we did it by hand. Having a CNC machine shop do it (unless you are profficient with operating one and have access to it) would be your best bet. That way they'll be able to make sure that the wheels structural integrity is not compromised.

most true universal rims are cast/forged with 2 bolts patterns. ex: my buddies rims from his si fit on my car. so yeah, theyve got 8 holes.

Every "drill to fit rim" i have ever seen is cheap as hell. Which leads me to believe no legit wheel company would ever concider doing that. You can always ask a wheel shop. I don't think you will have so much of a problem with weakening the metal though, aluminum is good for that.

Where i see potentical problems....1-The wheels wouldn't be designed to have the stress on that location on the wheel. A universal 4 lug is, something that not might be an issue

2-The wheel wasn't designed to have another hole that close. I've seen more than accoulple wheels crack around the lug whole, your wheels won't be designed to compensate for another hole so close.

In the real world, i don't know, but if you have ever seen a wheel fall off a car, you probably wouldn't consider risking it. I cracked wheel should be no different, if it cracked really bad and broke. Probably wouldn't get that bad before you caught it but still.

hmm those dont have centercaps...most rims ive seen redrilled are RH-style (not talking about knock-offs vs real lol, just saying wheels with nice center covers)...like your c5s...so the bolts are covered.

oo i see what you mean. it would probably look ugly because there wont be any center caps to cover the universal lug pattern. but i've seen some rims that's universal but doesn't come with caps.

I've seen a rim sheer completely off. I was watching Inked and one of the guys was driving around a Tiburon that hin and a friend built for a show. Driving around in a parking lot in rain can only lead to one thing, curb check. Luckily there was no damage to the body, but this idiot took a show car with $10k invested in it and sheered the passenger side front wheel right off. It was weird as hell.
