Re: Dynamat (UPDATE 4/9/12)

Kicker CVR's 500 rms a piece pushing it with a 1800 watt MONO amp, and she hits boy, damn does she hit. And its so much bass i hadd to turn them around. It all depends on where the port on the box is located.(the cut out where air flows and bass waves do too)Mine is directly on the side and its 8 inches wide. The subs forward look way better too. but the reaseon i did it was that it DID help make less vibration in the trunk.

8" WIDE port hole? Can I see a pic? lol

yea mine is the same. 8" wide too with a cylinder that goes almost to the other side of the box. i took all the packing out when they were in my truck but went out and repacked the box after putting them in the car, buts still pretty loud and pushing the packing back out sometimes. Ill try facing them the other way and see.

Looks great man! How much does that Dynamat weigh? Wondering how much it would all weigh to cover all the needed parts in the car.

Well for all the parts ive covered i prob. got a good 25-30 lbs. Im not for sure tho. It is heavy duty. Just get a carbon fiber hood and trunk and some light weight wheels to make up for it.

second skin, Raam mat, and Ballistic are good sound deadening product but ballistic falls behind because of the thin top layer.
