Hey ryan could you tell any difference when you got the K&N? Im just not in any hurry to spend 40 dollars on a filter... :eh:

It'll be worth it. You can reuse it forever, almost literally, as long as you clean it and oil it once or twice a year, depending on your driving conditions.

what exactly is "oiling" a filter?

It helps to trap the debris inside the filter so it won't go into your engine, basically.

You can't do this with regular filters though. Only with aftermarket filters usually.

Pretty damn useful, i'm thinking about just getting all those for $60 off amazon. Better to be prepared than not.

no, a filter is just a filter.

i got it since it tends to collect smaller **** that paper doesn't. like half the bottom of the airbox is gone so the filter is pretty much exposed to the elements...plus most of the splash shield on that side is also gone :lawl:

plus i got the filter for probably $25 :lawl: if we had a MAF to worry about i would have stuck with a good paper one like wix.

Just finished doing my DIY cold air intake. Still putting the front bumper together but after reving the car a bit, I could hear a better and deeper tone of the car, maybe that's just because i'm inside the garage, but i'll take a little test drive on an open road to see if it sounds alot better.

I just need to get myself a new K&N filter soon.

EDIT: Just got done driving it. Sounds wayyyy better now than leaving it stock, performance wise, ehhh not really any difference as expected, but what can I say? Stock look w/ a deeper tone at maybe a little below 50% throttle is more than what I expected.

You guys should try swapping on the H23A1 throttle body. The difference was night and day, and I only paid $30 for it at the junkyard.

The difference in size was drastic when compared to my little stock F22B1 TB. I think the H23 is only a hair bigger than the F23 TB but it still might be worth a shot! :D
