Electronic Leather Seat

My electronic leather driver's seat has a problem of going down if i lean back on it.. it makes a screeching sound and the seat leans back like nothings holding it up. what could this be? is it the seat motor ?

It's the car saying.....lol, jk. You probably somehow stripped the gears... if there are any in the chair cause i'm just taking a guess here. But thats the only reason i could see why the chair would just fall back
