Hey guys.. i been having the same problem with my car turning off every now and again (while im driving)and it not starting. i can turn the motor but she wont turn on and i talked to a friend who works at honda and she checkd my vin and said that my ignition harness was recalled and fixed already but i think that its messed up again and they wont pay to fix it again.

well i noticed that the green key light (that turns on when you put the key in) wouldnt turn on when my car didnt want to turn on and i replaced the harness behind the ignition/key and it fixed my problem for like a month or two but its starting to happen again and i can fix it by unpluging the harness and plugging it back in and then the green light comes on ..but does anyone know why the harness keeps messing up??

the dealership jus wants to replace the entire ignition but there is nothing wrong with my ignition.. jus the harness... any ideas suggestions??? i dont want to keep getting stuck on the side of the road.... :(

Well my car did this again friday... it's taken this long for it to come up again, but I figured I'd re-list the exact symptoms and see what's up.

Basically I got in my car, started it up, and within 1 second of it starting (not turning over but it actually started) it just died out like it had no fuel. Then after that I turned it off, waited about 10 seconds, tried to restart it and it just turned over with no signs of starting at all. So I waited another 30 seconds or so with the key off, then started it and it started right up. It's so weird!

did you notice if the green key light was flashing??

when mine did not start the light would not come on.
thus it was an issue with the key wire harness.

it normally comes on as soon as you put you key in...

OOOOH that's interesting. No one's ever suggested that before. I'll make sure to check next time it does it.
