I've been a member of this site for quite some time now and i did ALOT of reseach on accords. FOr about a year i been gathering info on which swap to do bcuz my f23 jus aint got enough power. Instead of goin H22, i decided to go the F20b route. Ever since i test drove an 09 Civic Si,i fell in love with the 8k rpm redline lol. I saved a little cash and im gettin a few thousand back on the returns. BUT now....my friend has a 91' S13 that needs a little TLC and a motor swap. He will sell it to me for $500! And i wud just drop an Sr20DET and make it my fun car. I just wanted to know which route shud i take? Badass High revving 6th gen D.D sleeper or a Nissan project to make me finally get sideways?? I pretty much know exactly what i want done to my accord to get the 200whp mark.im still learning about nissans but i wanna start getting into RWD

Are you planning on swapping a SR20det into what? Your accord? None the less, RWD=FLW. Not to mention a SR20DET has way more potential than anything stock honda has to offer.

well for starters, the F20b is the rarest motor that you can find in america with out importing it. And if you do find it, you are paying almost double the amount for the most common swaps

and agreeing with Swollen CU, the civic si never came with a f20b, but neither did the s2k, the s2k has a f20/2c, f20b is a DOHC vtec. And also, the f20 is becoming to become an old motor since it hasnt been really MADE in a while so anyone you get you might have to rebuild/carefully inspect even if its advertised as 60k

as for your plans, if your lookin for a hardcore tuner i would say s13, has more potential than an accord. but if your looking for a DD that has a little spunk, i would say an accord, with an H22 since it may be cheaper to afford

be like it is
i say dabble with the f23 for a while (and the car in general) before you jump into a project car...especially if you're planning on laying a finger on either car. knowing what you want vs making it happen are 2 different things...

think about it...there's probably a reason your buddy didn't finish the 240sx...theres probably a reason he wants to sell it for $500...

check the s13 for rust..theyre notorious for rusty strut towers, frames, etc and its like cancer..it just spreads..if the whole things rusted to hell and you dont plan on taking care of said rust id say dont bother swapping an sr into it..id say try and find a cleaner shell to build on

if the chassis is clean enough to build on i say go sr all day..you can get a really good deal on pretty much the whole swap from a few engine places in my area like jdm engine depot...they have alot of potential and are stock boosted....if your tryna go sideways id also say invest in a kaaz 2way diff...quite the fun way to go dorifto lol

either turbo your f23 or do a h22 swap if you want to do something to your accord. f20b's arent all that great. 200hp, but less tq than a stock f23. idk, ive always looked at f20b's as downgrades for our cars.
