why not do a NA build on the f23? open up the head, get some more air flowing in there, would cost you a lot less than doing a swap and would still keep it sane for DD'ing

drop the s13 sr20 route...everyone and their mom has one....

start thinking of the longevity of your vehicle...what do you want to do with it? what do you want it to do for you?

you want an all out motor vehicle...do your f20B....be warned this will be a long process

simple swap? do an H22...little more pep if u just want to have some fun

want to be able to DD your car? NA your current motor

its all up to what you want you car to be at the end of the process

well for starters, the F20b is the rarest motor that you can find in america with out importing it. And if you do find it, you are paying almost double the amount for the most common swaps

and agreeing with Swollen CU, the civic si never came with a f20b, but neither did the s2k, the s2k has a f20/2c, f20b is a DOHC vtec. And also, the f20 is becoming to become an old motor since it hasnt been really MADE in a while so anyone you get you might have to rebuild/carefully inspect even if its advertised as 60k

as for your plans, if your lookin for a hardcore tuner i would say s13, has more potential than an accord. but if your looking for a DD that has a little spunk, i would say an accord, with an H22 since it may be cheaper to afford

I thought the F20b swap was just pretty much the same as an H22 swap? And yea i know the civic si and s2k didnt come with a F20b,i just wanna b able to rev that high in my accord. I use to want the H22swap but thats a typical swap. Plus someone one here had a dyno of their F20b,it made more wtq then our f23's. My friend use to drive his 240sx everyday back in highschool. I checked it out a long time ago and didnt see any(visible) rust.He simply blew his ka24 lol.

If i decide to do the F20b swap in my 01' accord,of course i wud get a prelude tranny.MAYBE lsd. Then Later on, i wud throw my F23 into my 93 Accord and boost that. What made me consider the 240sx project is the drivetrain prices. Some good deals when i looked around. And The fact that i wud own a boosted rwd car that could potenially beat some Evo/Wrx *** with a little time and money. I cant decide...

Yea i want a N/A DD. I But would rather have DOHC and high compression. And i dont need tons of hp. Just enough for me to say its not slow, and to smoke these other cars with fart cans, and V6 mustangs, etc

boosting honda motors can get very costly unless done right. my thing is that you need to decide what you want, a reliable NA car or a Go Fast car... even though you swap a f20 into an accord, that swap is more/equally expensive than say dropping a LS motor into a corvette or camaro. if you want power, get a car with a powerful motor from the start and then work your way up most sr20 motors are already boosted seeing thats what you want so i would go with that

and honestly, 200whp isnt a lot. Most honda guys look to aim for 200, most wrx/evo/240sx guys start with 200whp... what does that tell you.

Just ask your self what do you want a GO FAST car, or a RELIABLE CAR?? if you say GO FAST, i think you then need to ask your self, do you want go fast NOW, or do you want to build it which takes time

The F20b's they sell on ebay and pretty much everywhere, else are all from an automatic transmission. If they dont have a manual mated with the engine, I wouldnt even bother. The F20b's with an automatic are rated lower HP than the Manual.

Im a big fan of the SR20DET and the RB26DET, they are great engines. But it depends on what your swapping it into..a rust bucket? No....it cost way more money than your willing to spend, to repair major rust damage. If you want to swap this motor, Id say...go for like a 240sx or something.
