u actuall lose power with this.. the tubing is waayyyy to long... dunno the actual physics of this, but basically the air is not supposed to travel tht far to reach the intake manifold

We call them Interfoolers.

Why would you want a vacuum cleaner because all you be is sucking in rain water. Filter will get soggy from the rain, damaged by bugs/rocks and well it wont be filtering anymore.

Just to add, you would have to clean the filter quite often. It would get as dirty as often as your front bumper does.

I haven't tried any kind of a set up like that, but I'd imagine it would make your throttle response atrocious.
