I just installed my fogs and have a problem. I wired them according to the diagram. After I ran all of the wires, I plugged one bulb in to test before I reassembled the bumper and tucked away all the wiring under the dash and installed the switch. Tested fine - the switch lighted up, fog came on with the switch, went off with the switch. Stays on independently, with the parking lights, with the headlights, and with the high beams. Turn the car off, and the fogs turn off (I was hoping that was a switched 12v source on the fusebox, good thing). So, I connected the other bulb and reassembled everything. Turn the car on, press the button for the fogs and nothing, the light for the switch does not light up either. No biggy, I figured I blew a fuse as was expected. My radio went off too (aftermarket alpine deck). I have checked the 20a radio fuse on the passenger side - good, parking light fuse on driver side - good, and cant find any busted underhood fuses. I replaced the 20a radio fuse with a 30a just in case. Still no radio/fog lights. So, I pulled the deck and checked the 10a fuse on the back by the wiring harness, that is good as well. Im stumped as to why my radio/fogs dont work? Those are the only 2 things that went out. Any suggestions?
also, I am using nokya 2500k bulbs in the fogs. They say 80w, and I am a little worried that the ebay wiring harness that came with the fogs wont be able to run them. After all, it is only one small wire that splits off to power both bulbs. and if its of any concern, I have a 2000ex coupe. Thanks for the help.
