What are your plugs gapped to, and what heat range plugs are you using. If the plugs aren't cold enough, and gapped enough it might be the cause of your misfire at higher boost pressures.

BTW did you ever set up the CO2 spray stuff?

Using plugs a step colder than OEM just some NGK coppers are in it right now gapped to about .02.

Haven't set that up yet either, want to wire it to something with a control through the AEM so I am able to turn it on/off and control when it goes on/off.

As you can tell on the stud on the downpipe to the left is all effed so need to get a replacement for that one. Also replaced the manifold/turbo studs. Much better seal by far after cleaning up the threads.

Looks great man! I'm getting those studs too soon. I still think that the dual gauge pod would look great on that gauge cluster. Are those the locking nuts on there, like the ones with the plastic on the inside of the ends to keep it from coming loose?

Thanks!

Yeah those are the locking nuts from ATP Turbo. I'm still up in the air about the dual cluster gauge pod though, i'm still on the fence as far as how it looks and the idea of having either an empty guage pod somewhere or re-working the gauges.....

20 thousandths is a little tight. .025 should do the trick. I would probably go to 2 steps colder btw. Rule of thumb is for every 75-100 hp 1 step colder. Some NGK 7's should do the trick.

Thanks Akoutmos, i'll have to try that out in the next week and see if that does the trick. I think I am already running two steps colder but am debating on replacing them anyway and re-gapping starting at .025. I know there is spark from the MSD ignition system, so I know it's not that, so the only thing I can think of is the spark plugs....

Also, Any ideas on something else:
Prior to getting it running I never had a vacuum line hooked up from the compressor housing to the top of the wastegate and it ran just fine. When I noticed that, I hooked up a vacuum line between the two and now it run's a little rougher and idles super low and occassionally dies. Any thoughts on this?

Re: Going for a re-tune....

Was the nipple/fitting wide open on the compressor housing (i.e boost leak)? Also, on most external wastegates the pressure line hooks up to the bottom fitting on the wastegate. They are pull design, the valve opens and moves inwards towards the wastegate as opposed to moving into the exhaust stream. So you would need the pressure line to push up on the wastegate to over come spring pressure.

Btw are you running some sort of boost controller?

These two pdfs outline wategate setup pretty well:

That's exactly what I thought and why I installed that missing vacuum line. Must have gotten forgotten during some re-install....

I'm running an electronic boost control gauge through the aem ems.

AEM Tru-boost for boost control?
Or a solenoid controlled by the ems?

Realized I should have clarified that from the get go. A electronic solenoid controlled by the AEM.
