^nice. I have my hondata set up like that to. makes it awesome cause you can set low boost for first gear to help with traction issues.

Re: Going for a re-tune....

Exactly why it's so great having an electronic boost controller. Eventually want to set up 2 step rev limiter for better control via the AEM as well...

Updates on issues:

- Starter is ordered from a junkyard in good condition should ship out this morning.
- New downpipe/turbo stud ordered and should be to me by Thursday.
- Idle is fixed (as it was dying due to low idle).
- got some new spark plugs 2 steps colder (ZFR7F-11/NGK Coppers) and will try a slightly bigger gap (previously .02 going to try .025) hopefully this and re-wiring of the fuel pump will make the misfiring dissapear.
- Need to buy and patch exhaust section where it was dented still.
- tune the fuel map/etc. for better driveability
- Lastly some wiring things to straighten out (fuel pump/radio/A/F gauge/etc).

After all that I should be good to go FINALLY......

Re: Going for a re-tune....

Update:

Junkyard Starter is ordered.
Replacement stud is on its way.
Spark plugs in hand.
When I am able to work on these couple items i'll figure out what needs to be ordered for the exhaust.
I'll work on the wiring and driveability tune as well all in one shot (hoping for this weekend).

Re: Going for a re-tune....

Well basically got as far as I could for now.

- Replaced the starter
- re-wired the fuel pump/radio
- Fixed the cross threaded stud
- Spark plugs got today and want to install to a corrected gap and see if that fixes the misfiring.

Basically all set up to go for a tune. I'm still waiting on some tax money, so as soon as that is recieved, i'm just going for tune time

Re: Going for a re-tune....

getting closer, gonna be messing with the fuel tomorrow AM along with the "suspected" culprit of the misfire (Spark plugs, TPS, re-configuring Throttle Position setup) along with anything else I can correct as I have everything else down to a T.

Gotta fix an exhaust leak in my newly acquired Audi, then i'll be swapping cars to work on the Accord.

Got my tax returns back and not what I expected $270ish.... Trying to come up with the $500 or so for the tune (money is tight) But I may be pulling money out from an apartment building I own to pay things down and simultaneously using it for the tune. Just waiting for re-financing of it to clear and then I'll try to pull it out of the fund for it.....

Hopefully all goes as planned....

Re: Going for a re-tune....

Got the new plugs in, re-calibrated the throttle position and it helped immensely...

Played with the fuel map and got it to idle at 14.4, under a load ran about 12-13, low boost 11.4ish, and high boost was sporadic, but close enough for a tune....

Re: Going for a re-tune....

Yeah it's a big relief to get all the little kinks out for sure. especially to get the A/F ratio's close to what they should be in prep for the tune.... Still a couple small issues but I have a feeling it will be fixed when he adjusts the timing and fuel for it...

Thanks Nikita!

Getting closer, starting talks with the tuner today/tomorrow, as I was at their shop anyway discussing their relocation that i'm actually bidding on the construction of. ha.

I'm hoping to set up a time in the next week or two and get 'er done.
