meguiars detailing class recommended the Brickmann. That's what they used at the class to show imperfection on the car's finish.

I have the craftsman work light and have no problem with it but some have complained about the quality of the material used on the tripod ( plastic ). But that doesn't affect the light output though.

looks really good i was wonderin if you could let me know a simple product to use for my dull hood iam not lookin to make it show room but good

i would give meguiars 105 and 205 a shot. They can be used by hand or buffer and still able to achieve really good results. Get a couple of microfiber pads and you're good to go.

good job...my car is next and its DEP :hihi:

thx torny. :lawl:

turned out great bro!!!

i just into this hobby and am loving it! just got my g110v2 last week and have already worked on a couple cars. still trying to perfect it tho cause i have alot to learn still!

ill start posting these as well. =)

what kind of light do you use to see all your scratches and stuff??

i got a 1000watt total halogen work lamp. I got it from sears for about 25 bucks with tax included. Welcome to the club haha. The first couple things to learn when starting out is which product you use with which pad, what speed to use for different situations, how much arm speed, how much pressure to apply, and learning to properly fold and use the microfiber towels so the corners wont scratch your paint.

Halogen work light :
This goes on sale for $20 from time to time. Not the best quality but gets the job done.

Hand Held:
Brinkmann Maxfire
Fenix TK 11 r2

Best swirl, imperfection finding light: The sun - and it's FREE :p

thanks jephu!! do you own and recommend the brinkmann?? i dont wanna spend as much for the fenix lol

also something like the craftsman, what do you mean its not the best quality? as in light output? would i still be able to see most of the swirls??

thx for the link. personally a work lamp is good enough for me already because you can detach it and move it around if necessary.

Awesome work lemon, I'm trying to get into this hobby as well. Just need to pick up a PC to remove this massive amount of swirls I have.

awesome. you are going to need around 200-300 minimum to start out though. after you get the basic stuff, you can slowly get more products cuz that's what i did.

Nice work Lemon, that's what my paint always comes out looking like when I give it a good detailing, unfortunately it doesn't stay that way for more than a month or so. :(
