rogers price is more than fair, i did my tails the way that he mentioned, on a standard pcb and just "wired" them together. here's an example of one of my boards... this board alone is like 5-6hrs of work . there are two of these in my center tail, and a total of 4 more for both corners.... custom led work is no joke, its far more difficult and time consuming than a headlight retrofit. each of my leds has 4 legs, there are close to 500 leds in my entire tail light setup, every 4 leds has a resistor... then count the connections on the voltage regulator boards.... thats more soldering than anyone can imagine. my lights have been sitting around unfinished for close to a year now because its such a daunting task that i just done feel like spending so many hours to finish it up. especially since time is scarce now a days.

im not even sure i like the design i chose. it was cool back when i started over a year ago but now im not so sure. and i dont really like the look of these leds behind the stock lens so i'd need to spend money on a altezza set and that more money i dont feel like spending. if i could go back in time, i wouldnt have even started this project. :(

good luck roger... remember the days when i would pm you about simple *** led questions, now im tackling my own projects :D

thank you for sharing your input Vimal. i guess you really wont know how much work and time is needed unless you try it .. right? hehe

where is the best place to get those superflux? are they philips?

i have an altezza set of tails....buuuut its for a sedan..but if it's still helpful for you..i'll sell it to you dirt cheap..there just sitting in my room

thank you for the offer bro, but i really have no use for sedan tails.

Think you can do LED in these lights?

roger, i bought a whole brick (20 tubes aka 1200 LEDs)of those superflux red-orange leds a few years back so i havent purchased any recently so i dont know where to look to buy new ones. you may want to check hidplanet and make a thread and ask where u can get some.

and yes, mine are authentic philips lumileds superflux LEDs. the most reliable imo.

Deposit, altezza (not TYC) taillights, and OEM taillights...corners though, not the center pieces.

3 more ppl and this will be rolling.

You don't need to send anything since i'll have a pair of OEM tail lights available. you'll just send your OEM tails once you recieve your new LED Tails.

So you do not need any type of deposit or anything. What type of payment do take?

i just need $200 deposit so i can buy all the materials needed and start the project.

but you wont be sending your OEM tails yet. not until the LED is done.

paypal is prefered payment.
