disclaimer: i never said anything about lying to the cops. technically, when i said i dont have any knowledge in this, i was being humble :lawl:

but yes ryan, i get ur point. However, i dont see any other way around this. let's say HYPOTHETICALLY i have a swapped engineand if i told him that i have motor work, then that's gonna send me straight to the state refs. And living in socal and having strict rules are already something that can't be changed. In this situation, I think should let them make the judgement.

p.s. i respect cops and what they do. but everyone and their grandma around me knows that i drive grandma style. I dont speed, i dont drive fast, i dont do anything stupid. I got pulled over for having a modified car. Yes alot of cars out there that are street racing have modified cars, but not all modified car drivers are stupid like that. Plus on top of that, there are another bunch of dumbasses that drive insanely stupid and does not own a modified car. Those people, imo, should be the ppl that cops go after. it bugs me when cops pull legit drivers over for having a modified car, and let those dumbasses free. profiling or not, it is stupid.

haha, as long as i'm in socal i'll keep my ride registered under someone else's name and in a different state. as long as it's legal where it's from.

i'm still holding to my opinion. honestly...if you were parking in your driveway and the cops put on their lights it wouldn't change my position.

it doesnt matter if the cops were wrong (which got you out of hot water).
cop took out a piece of paper w/ all the engine codes from his car.
cop1: you got the intake, and i see the CARB sticker. adjustable dampener.
*matches engine code....h 2 2 A* is this an accord?
me: yea.
cop1: any other engine mods?
me: no, just the intake. i bought the car like this pretty much.
cop1: it says h22 belongs to a prelude.
cop 2: oh the prelude and accord uses the same engine.
cop 1: oh really, cool.
me: i dont have any knowledge in this, you guys are the pro's lol.
cop1: cool, ur free to go. have a nice summer.
me: thanks :D

the quotes in bold aren't even "bending the truth" or something like "if they dont ask, i'm not telling." even if the cops had no way of telling if you were lying or not (this time), im telling you...dont lie to the cops.

lying = obstructing
pulling over just imports = profiling
pulling over just black/mexican/asian/arabian/indian/etc people = profiling

one lie and the cop has a right to do anything he wants including searching your car without a warrant, has a right to arrest you if he sees fit, and can, by law, give you a ticket for anything and everything illegal on your car.

if the cop didn't know...wen got lucky...that's the cop's fault. i got pulled over 20 minutes after putting on my tinted tails (and they're DARK...good thing it was at night) and the cop didnt care. good on me. he could have given me tickets for illegally modifying my tail lights AND headlights but didnt. if he asked about them, i would have told him what was done. its my choice to drive with "illegal" lights.

saying that "he only had an intake" and "the car came like this" and he "doesnt know anything about the car" are straight up lies.

seriously...profiling like that is a perfect reason not to live in socal. i know plenty of people with 10x hotter cars (no offense to wen...i love accords...but i also know some people with nasty 500hp imports and domestics) and they only get pulled over for doing something stupid like...i dont know...ACTUALLY street racing?!

i dont think people in socal realize...in the rest of the country...you dont get pulled over just for having an import. is this clear?
You got alot to learn still... they cant just search your car because if they do without permission and they find a gun you'll go to court and it will be a DA reject trust me.. i live in East Los Angeles! only way they can search the car is if ur on probation!

only way they can search the car is if ur on probation!

so your saying if cops pull someone over who they find is very high, they wont have the right to search his car? :crazyrun:

reasonable suspicion is all they need. yup ^

i personally dont care where anyone is from, although laws can vary from place to place. if they feel a need to search your car or feel threatened by what you may have in it, they can search it.

Well thats common sense because ur car smells like weed... so that=being under the influence thats an automatic ticket and that does give them the rite too! im saying if you get pulled over for no reason... which may be profiling they gotta ask you to search the car and u gotta give them permission, if not they gotta get a warrant... if not you gotta be doing something stupid or give them an automatic reason to have the right! and other then that u gotta be on probation

I thought engine swaps were legal in Cali as long as is passes smog and you have all the paperwork proving you bought the engine and that it isn't stolen......correct me if I'm wrong.

Ryan, no disrespect, but I think the way you said "fvck socal" was kinda crossing the line. There are a lot of guys on this board that live there and love it......I dunno, just seemed kinda disrespectful the way you said it.
