I thought engine swaps were legal in Cali as long as is passes smog and you have all the paperwork proving you bought the engine and that it isn't stolen......correct me if I'm wrong.

Well thats common sense because ur car smells like weed... so that=being under the influence thats an automatic ticket and that does give them the rite too! im saying if you get pulled over for no reason... which may be profiling they gotta ask you to search the car and u gotta give them permission, if not they gotta get a warrant... if not you gotta be doing something stupid or give them an automatic reason to have the right! and other then that u gotta be on probation

i dont mean any diss either, but i dont understand why people put up with all the crap to live there (smog, inspections, high cost of living, fewer jobs, ridiculous government, cops doing anything but what REALLY matters, etc)...i just dont get it. if i had to watch my mirror or say "here we go again..." every time i see a cop (just because i have a honda!) is out of control. im sayin...something's wrong there...but people are just like "whatever." instead of going after gangs or drug dealers, the cops harass car people. am i the only one who sees this?

HAHAHAHA u got so much to learn... you wouldn't last a day in my shoes! just so u know thats all u see is cops pulling over gangsters drug dealers etc etc and if he told the cop with a face that he didnt know anything about the car the cops arent gonna interigate him because of that... trust me!

like most people, i was born here and i love california for what it is. great weather, tons of people to be able to hangout with, the beach, the women, list goes on and on. Honestly because of my experiences living here i now have no respect for the police, at least in my area. And yeah, every time i pass a cop i'm just waiting to be pulled over but it's something that i have to deal with and because of it i've been keeping up with my legal rights to what a police officer can and can't search and or ticket me for.... which kind of pisses them off when i call them on doing something illegal. And that leads to me respecting them less... but w/e i'm here cause the weather is amazing, and i know so many people here i don't want to leave and start a new life just because i don't like the police.

If they have to ask for permission to search your car, then they don't have enough evidence to do so. So always say no to searches if they ask, unless you don't have anything to hide.

I was pulled over once because my accord was too low. Guess what they did? Asked me to step out, made me put my hands behind my back and patted me down. For what? my car being too low. What pissed me off the most was the fact that after searching me, they made me put my hands on their burning hot hood..while they search for the 'too low' code. They end up not finding the code and gave me a fix-it ticket for no front plates, and illegal lights (he must have been stupid enough to think too low = illegal lights). Lame SJPD cops have nothing better to do.

lol, you forgot about earthquakes....and you dont think the cops go after gangs and drug dealers? they do that all day here, pulling over a modded Honda is like break time for them.

honestly, what state doesnt have flaws? you are saying that california has a high cost of living and fewer jobs. correct me if i am wrong, but we are in a RECESSION currently. THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES. there are people getting laid off from work all over the country, not just California. The high cost of living varies from place to place, depending on which city you live in. I dont see why you think all the cops are ignorant and dont do what they are supposed to do. there are cops like that in every state and in every country. there will be profiling and there will always continue to be profiling no matter where you go. Let me ask you this, why would you put up with all teh nasty weather during teh winter season out where you live? Why would people put up with all the racist rednecks? As you yourself claim you live in sh1thole, wisconsin, why would you say 'fvck socal'?
