This is probably going to end up costing you more money if you go to court.

Thats exactly what I think. The court costs will probably be almost the same as the fine anyway. And this way I won't have to get up at the crack of dawn on a friday! lol

I say fight it. I got pulled over for taking a left at 3:02 at a place where you can''t take a left from 2-3. The cop said it was 2:59pm according to his watch and that i made the turn illegally and gave me the ticket. I was even nice to him.... even though in my mind i was like "WHATS YOUR ****ING PROBLEM YOU FAT *** PIG!!!!". But when i went to court he didn't even show up and it only ended up costing me how ever much gas i used to drive there. They're just singling out people that have fast looking cars or in our cases, there are way to many cops around that have nothing to do so they give out bs tickets hoping to make a few bucks.

I understand what you're saying but you're lucky there weren't any court fees. In my county, there always are...and sometimes they're more than the damn ticket!

I really need to get out of this area. Its overcrowded and too many rich people make the laws so they're crooked.

It's not a moving violation, it won't go against your record. Pay it and move on, it's just a a small donation to Uncle Sam to help them pay AIG's debt at the moment.

fairfax's system takes almost more than a week at times for them to post the ticket online and become prepayable. most of the time, if you wait about two weeks or so, you'll be fine. g'luck payin the ticket, fairax sux.

You don't seem to understand. Its hardly an ignorant statement and here's why: The Fairfax county police force has grown so ridiculously big that they have to pull people over all the time now, just to fund themselves. There are literally so many cops on the police force that almost any infraction warrants at least six or seven squad cars pulling up because they literally having nothing better to do. Traffic tickets are a quick and easy way of making money, and there's nothing the public can do about it. I'm hardly whining or complaining about some ticket. I've already done a decibel test at my friend's garage and its putting out 86db. The legal limit up here is 95db, so the fact that the cop didn't have one of those devices to test it means the he in fact is the ignorant one and I'm going to make him know it when I come to court next month. This is my whole point, they no longer dispense actual justice. They just need to make their quota. The day a cop saves one of my loved ones from an armed gunman or I see him risk his own life in some fashion is the day I consider them heroes. Until then they're just ticket giving drones devoid of personalities. I don't know what kind of experiences you've had with the police down there in North Carolina (which is one of my favorite beach spots!) but you really haven't experienced a crooked police force until you've been pulled over in northern Virginia or the DC area dude so until then you're ignorant to the facts. Anybody living in this area knows how it is but they deal with it. There's nothing wrong with me asking a few questions about this situation, I've never been pulled over for my exhaust before so lighten up. And one other thing, I work in a Borders Book store in the music department. The similarities between what I do and the **** a cop has to do end at the fact that we're both human beings.

I thought you were making a generalization that all cops are scum, my bad. Some cops are dicks, some aren't. My step-dad is a cop and he will give drunk people rides back to their house if he sees them attempting to walk down the street (even though by law he is supposed to give them a public intoxication ticket.

Oh, and NC FTW!
