I finally took the patience, and time to make my car idle at 1000 rpms again, and let me tell you it was beautiful...

Cliffs. Our cars use a 3 wire IACV, but when converting to OBD1 you need to run a 2 wire IACV. No biggy, just wiring and making a lil jumper harness from 3 wire to 2 wire. I thought it idled high bc I did nt get the 2 wire IACV onto the actual intake manifold....

Well the other day at the shop I looked at one of my ported heads, and noticed that we have Air injection, then it hit me, that could possibly be causing a vacuum leak (but internally not affecting boost or making noise). So being bored tonight, I took the line off, capped it and whaaaala normal idle.... :D

Since I had read, the car would never idle low, I just never looked into it... glad I did.

I remember my car idling at 440rpm before I figured out a work-around with the 3-wire IACV, then a constant 1200rpm before I got it tuned. lol I'm not sure which was worse...
