Drowzee,

yeah, the East Meets that alot of the local Clubs go to, last week there was easily about 200 cars.

Our West Meets have about 20 or so people show up on a weekly basis.

Next weeks East Meet we'll definately get some pics up, should be another huge turnout if the weather is good.

ooh thats cool. is it like just cars in general?

Yeah, some of the clubs that show up:

NextMod
TAC
JDMRides
Evo Club
Toronto Prelude Club

Guys with Skylines and other cars come out as well.

Here is a map I borrowed, the parking lot above the word 'TPC' is full on a Wed night.

Where exactly are you going to? Cerritos location? Irvine location? If one of those two.. or both.. then yes, your service is probably going to suck.. real hard. Over in Hacienda, it's not so bad though. If you're basing Guppys off of Cerritos, Anaheim Hills, or Irvine location, that's pretty sad. I've had bad experiences in A LOT of reputable restaurants too, but you know what, it's no big deal. Trivial problems. Don't get your panties twisted over nothing, life is too gdamn short.

But, before anyone talks **** about Guppys, you should try working there on a Saturday or Friday night (or just whenever it's busy and there are 20 GROUPS of people on the waiting list), THEN you'll see why service is downright in the ****can. It's not we're purposely trying to neglect customers, there's just too much influx of them. And normally, Guppys has A LOT more bigger parties than most restaurants and it gets clutterfuxed all over. One other thing too, management SUCKS. We don't have sections, which we SHOULD. But even if we did have sections we are understaffed to take each 1 section.

We deal with some sh*tty *** customers all night long. And we really don't even expect much tip, because people that go there don't tip well in general, even if I give them a 100% of my attention. But in reality, you shouldn't even be going there for straight up entrees anyways. :fail:

Management blows too. Since we are understaffed like a mofo and usually have 1 bar person, meaning, the bar orders WILL get backed up when busy.
And yes, we do make mistakes. Hell, I forgot to give this one guy a cup of hot water. S**T HAPPENS, go QQ in the corner for all I care. And if you people insist on talking more crap.. please, grab a resume. Step into our shoes for a month or so, but too bad most people won't. :jerkit:
The only location I haven't been to is the Hacienda one, reason being I don't wish to go back to one considering the service I've received at the other three. Did you forget the story I posted over on V6P? I could go fetch it for you if you, or anyone else, would like to read it. You're telling me that **** happens... Yeah I know it's a restaurant and it's not run by robots so people will make mistakes, but since when is it OK for employees to basically tell me it's their duty to take tip money from me or get in an argument with me? That's just absurd. I'd love to see you try and explain to someone why they have to tip you and have them understand. I've never demanded anything at a restaurant, cafe, tea shop, whatever. All I want is what I order in a reasonable time frame. That's it. If you can do that, you get a nice tip. I kind of find it funny that that kid wanted me to tip him so bad when I have to pour my own water and there's no silverware or chopsticks on the table.

You don't sound too enthused to work there Steve. In any case, you're defending it but you are telling me how much it sucks. So why don't you find a place with better customers, better tips, and better management. Maybe you'd be a little happier and you wouldn't get your panties in a bunch whenever you see me post my Guppys experiences. I just was surprised, that after a year, I was the only one at my table to not receive their food. That in itself just was over the top for me. None of my other friends have had as bad of luck there as I have, so maybe I'm biased.

And another thing; any time I've been there and they've ****ed up my order they've never even apologized for the accident. What the hell is up with that?! They just look at me like, "Oh, I didn't know you ordered anything durrrrr do you still want it?" No **** I want my food I'm hungry and have been waiting for it while my friends all eat theirs. You can't tell me that at least respecting your customers isn't something you employees try and do. I'm not someone that is difficult to please, but that's just a little much for me Steve. Sorry if you take this the wrong way but get off my sack.:nutswinger:

Oh yeah, the Nissan 240 guys show up as well as the Mazda people. It's huge, unfortunately, the maturity level isn't always there and the Civic guys end up doing something stupid.

yeah the girls there were alright; and yes that girl who tried to light the fire did gave us major attitude when ordering. I was going to apply to guppies but staying up till 1-2 to close ain't my thing. I work at a retail store and stay there till 11-12 all the time folding stuff that people inconsiderately just throw around. But hands down, I would choose working at a drinks place like jamba or starbucks over retail! (kinda random)

I used to go out with the civic guys on their usual thursday meets and I can see cops pulling over the 240 guys for exhaust or w.e it is.
