i'm dumb too :beer:

if u just want a H23 intake, all u need is the H23 TB ONLY.... u do not need the H23 IM (unless if u want to for perf purposes)

and y is tht? :confused:

btw, i'm too lazy to read the whole G23 swap thing... but i need some info tho lol

1. which head gasket do i need again? H23 or F23?
2. water pump is still gonna be the F23 water pump rite?
3. and i remember reading abt plugging the coolant passage in the head with jbweld... if someone can refer me to the page on the h-t site, tht would be awesome.... damn i'm lazy :rofl:

Polishing the intake is a waste of time, primarily. You polish the exhaust port, to a mirror finish, if you will, so that it resists carbon build up. A bumpy surface will allow carbon to latch on easier, and start to build up easier. Also, have the intake side slightly rough promots atomization ever so slightly. You would want to finish the intake side with around 80-grit. There are plenty of write-ups and articles on the net about this as well. Google doesn't hurt ;)

As for the G23, all the info is on the FIRST page in the FIRST post in the link that I posted.:bash: :p

If you need me to be more specific:

1. You can use either from what I understand, but when using the F23 gasket, on of the things holding the layers of the gasket together need to be removed. Otherwise the head won't sit properly. Which you have to remove I can tell you within the next 2 weeks when I get around to my G23-VTEC build.

2. Yes. The waterpump is always for the block on which it will be installed.

3. Its not a coolant passage, but an oil drain. And it doesn't have to be JB weld. hi-temp silicon or Honda-Bond will do the trick just fine. (Its the 13th and 14th pic in the 1st post in the link I posted above)

To run the H23 IM, just do this:

Bolt up the H23 mani, then re-use the original F23 TB and call it a day. :thumbsup:

The reason we were discussing the differences in TB's (which I am going to look into personally) is because DarkSideAccord said that the outer diamter of the TB's are not the same, hence the actual black rubber intake pipe for the H23 is a tad wider as well! (and therefore won't fit on the F23 TB).

EDIT: One thing I forgot to look into is whether or not the F23 thermostat housing will bolt up to the H23 intake? I am not sure about that, but perhaps some1 else can chime in?

I am doing a full H22, then built G23-VTEC in MY Accord (well, thats the plan anyway...) This G23-VTEC imminent swap is for my brother-in-law's Accord.

PS - How does this "rep-power" work...and how did I get one?! :confused:

either-or...

G23 = F23 block/no-TEC H-head Hybrid
G23-VTEC = F23 block/VTEC H-head Hybrid
G22 = F22 block/no-TEC H-head Hybrid
G22-VTEC = F22 block/VTEC H-head Hybrid

:D

I already have 1 JDM H22A head for the bro's Accord. I would love to use the JDM version for myself...but yeah! :(

Only reason I am going H22 first is so I can rebuild my F23 block on the side. It drinks oil like no tomorrow!!
