Heat Shield

I accidentally touched my header once and you can still see part of my skin and fingerprints on the manifold.

I should have gotten the dumbass of the year award for that one....

A buddy of mine saw my header and didnt know my car just finished running for a couple hours. He looked at my header and said " It looks real thick" then he grabbed like you would a broom or a bat. The whole inside of his head turned yellow and crispy.

lol ouch, I was also showing someone my header, and they said it looks so shiny, and I said yeah it looks so nice and boom , I still get slack for that today

I deserve that award too as I have done the same thing.
I shut the car off and me thinking the header was cold I grabbed it with my hand

On one of my old turbo project cars the headers used to glow red when you beated the car... One of my buddies was like, hey what is that glow... I said what glow, and then it points... and touches, and then we went to get a large bucket of ice.

If your really hell bent on a heat shield, may be you could fab one up out of aluminum? Someone's got a tig. It may not look the nicest, but then again it could. Don't player hate, innovate......uhhhh ...sorry bout that last comment
