HEAVY doors on the coupe

Any of you guys driving the coupes have noticed your door hanging just a tad low? I think after a while the hinges are giving way and when I go to open the door, it feels like it drops a tiny bit (maybe a few millimeters....nothing serious).

Any easy fix for this without taking off the doors and adjusting the hinges?

well on my friends coupe i noticed that. dont know a cure or if its even the heavy door.

don't let the doors swing open by themselves, and don't slam them shut. the hinges are actually pretty beefy for a Honda given the door size, mine are just fine.

if you are actually feeling something when you open the door, it could be that the previous owner was rough on the car, or that the mech at the end of the door is loose (highly doubt it). if you don't have to do anything special when closing the door, and if there are no sounds, then it's probably in your head.

i would advise you to compare the door opening/closing with the passenger side to see if there's a difference.

never knew door hinges had springs anyway the gas station i worked at always lubed up the door hinges when doing an oil change. just lube them up and no more squeaks.

+1, I also make comments to people who slam my doors: You know why my doors close so well? Because people don't slam them. It's a vicious cycle when someone slams doors, they close poorly, then they wonder why they are closing poorly, and slam them even harder perpetuating this damage.

Yeah I would say how people mistreat the doors is going to have a much bigger impact. I have 15-25 pounds of sound dampener/barrier in each door and everything lines up just fine.

yup my door still closes like when i first bought her. i barely use strength and just let the door close itself with a nudge. 10 years and she's like new! i love her!!
