Help adjusting idle after Throttle Body Spacer Install

So i attempted to install a throttle body spacer and all went well until when i tried to adjust the throttle to idle normally. There are 2 wires, one i can tell that is connected to the acceletator and the other i am not sure... However, I am able to easily adjust the "pedal wire" but not the other.. There are two nuts for each and the adjustment worked for the one (pedal) wire but i cant seem to get the other to loosen, resulting in extremely high revs upon starting the car.. Is there a way to adjust this wire so my car will idle normally?

The car is a 99 accord LX 4dr Manual

that wire is the throttle cable lol...
but i think you may have to adjust the distributor...

I guess i don't really understand... The throttle cable is separate from the cable connected to the pedal itself?

How would i go about adjusting the distributer...

The throttle cable is the cable that connects to the gas pedal. If your car would idle just fine before you installed the spacer, then stay with adjusting your throttle cable. The other cable goes to your cruise control.

I did that. My problem is the other cable is rather tight and cannot be adjusted from what i can see. It is the one connected to a black ring on the throttle body itself.. I had the throttle cable totally loose and still at startup i would redline.

Have you tried resetting your ecu and taking your car for a spirited 10 minute drive?

I thought of resetting the ecu, but then thought would that really do anything? Because that wire is a physical piece being pulled on that throttle body..

Having a Helix throttle body spacer installed myself, I see the issue you are having. You need a longer throttle cable bracket, and you MAY have to sacrifice your cruise control if you can't find a longer bracket with 2 cable mounting points. You need a backet that brings the mounting point of the throttle cable closer to the pulley. Reason being, is that the spacer takes up that space moving the throttle body pulley further out, thus putting more tension on the cable. The result is what you are experiencing, and the width of the throttle body spacer is unfortunately a bit more than the adjustment thread on the throttle cable can handle. It just doesn't thread/unthread that far.

For my setup I went to a junk yard and pulled then installed a longer bracket, but since it had a holder for only one cable, I had to sacrifice cruise control until I can custom weld myself a better one.

Thanks so much, the one i was attempting to install was also a Helix. What differences do you see after installing the TBS?

Better throttle response, a bit more sound to it, but it was hard to notice with the turbo. I didn't get re-tuned with it, but I am assuming that due to increasing the total volume of the IM it would result in a few more whp with a turbo setup if re-tuned as well. For stock setup, probably won't do much more than add a bit of sound and increase throttle response slightly.
