Hello, as the title states I was wondering if you guys could help me out here. I suspect that I need to replace my cv joint but i'm not quite sure.

When I'm driving along I can hear this sort of shuttering/rattling almost loose sounding noise coming from my drivers side wheel. I can hear it faintly when going straight, however when i am turning it becomes a lot louder. I went to an empty parking lot and was driving around just turning in circles going left than right and I can hear the noise doing a right hand and a left hand circle. But only am hearing it on the drivers side wheel. I checked all of the (I want to call them rubber boots but i'm not sure what they are called, none of them had any cracks in them or anything. Here are some pictures.

Do you have the typical clicking sound when turning at full lock? Vibration or shuddering during acceleration?

If not, check wheel bearings. They will change sound as you turn the wheel changing the force applied to them.

There is a shuttering sound, but no vibration of any kind. It only happens when i'm turning however. I just went for a quick drive and didnt hear any noises while going straight. I guess that noise comes and goes but what noise is always there is the weird sound when turning, coming from my drivers side front wheel. Sounds like somethings loose or something.

I'd probably suggest putting it up in the air and checking all your bushings, tie rods and end links. Grab the wheel and rock back and forth to check for play as well

Put the car on jackstands last night. There was no play whatsoever vertically or horizontally. I double checked the endlink by moving the wheel to the left and right to see if the endlink would smoothly follow with the steering knuckle and it followed just fine. I'll check the bushings tomorrow. If the bushings are fine then it must just be a wheel bearing correct?
