Based on the picture, the kit you have doesn't seem to have a relay harness, i would highly recommend one so that on startup it draws power from your battery instead of just your stock headlight harness.. you can get it through a place like xenondepot.com...

As for the bulbs i got mine off ebay from a reputable seller, 80 bucks though.. like ryan said 6000K max, for more light output though get 4300K.

You don't really need a relay harness...especially since you're using a kit rather than OEM ballasts from another car. Even then...you don't really need a harness.

For reflectors...I would get 6000k max. I got really good output with 6000k actually...but 5000k may even be better without sacrificing too much color.

As for what you need...just get new 9006 HID bulbs from MTEC so that the connectors to the ballast will be the same...you don't wanna be fudging the wires from your ballast to your bulbs. Too much voltage for you to safely be rewiring stuff there.

Then just connect the red/black wires coming from the ballast (the ones not connected to the bulb) to your 9006 harness in your car where your stock bulbs used to be connected. Make sure you connect red-red and black-black otherwise the ballasts won't fire up.

Viola...HIDs...for almost free =]

Not trying to argue with you because i agree that with or without a relay harness HID's would still fire up and go... but please enlighten me as to why you would not want to have an inexpensive insurance for your stock wires? A relay and a couple of wires... i apologize if i sounded sarcastic just my opinion:beer:

Ok guys...I really don't know anything about HIDs but from what I'm hearing is that it doesn't matter what rating of bulbs I connect to these ballasts that I have? Even though the box says 8k I can still get 6k bulbs? Oh and is there any other place to get these bulbs? I only see halogens on ebay...

be like it is
i agree with jay...youd especially want a harness for aftermarket ballasts since theyre a toss up because of build quality and differences. kit ballasts also take more amperage to start than OEMs. there was a comparo on hidplanet somewhere done by ciprian (linuxglobal) i believe...

you could drive with 2 lug nuts per wheel, but why? harnesses are cheap insurance in the same way.
