I'll be installing a new trunk lid soon w/o spoiler. What did you end up doing? Is there a plug that lets you use the 3rd brake light?

The 3rd brake light that is in the back seat? The wire for that brake light shouldn't matter. I haven't actually done the work yet. I'm gonna go get the lid with no spoiler today or tomorrow and look at the swap. When I was looking at it yesterday it looks like all the lighting is connected to the main wiring harness. Is that what you're talking about?

I just finished the swap. It is real easy. As for the spoiler light, mine was tapped into my brake light so I simply cut those. The brake light that sits in the back seat, that' on its own and doesn't get touched. Took me about 2 hours but because I had to swap the badges and the lens as mine are blacked out.

One thing to take note about is that if you use your key fob or the latch beside the driver seat to open the trunk, it will now fly open because the trunk is a lot lighter without the spoiler. Not a big deal, just a difference with the new lid.
