you will probably get a CEL code when you install, if you do don't freak out, it happens a lot b/c oxygen sensors struggle with aftermarket headers.

problem with putting it on for a short time "as is", is usually people never go back and fix it. plus i'm sure it will be difficult to uninstall after things heat up, but maybe not.

if it were me, i'd just do it right the first time

sorry to bring up an old post but let's do it.

i recently got a Megan SS header and was wondering if i should install the DEI heat exhaust wrap or not. i also have a AEM SRI. what do you guys think. wrap it or leave it?

also, i would really like BlackNight's experience with a SS header.

anyone else who has an SRI and a SS header is welcomed to comment on their experience.

I have a Megan header with a SRI, and I think it's fine. No problems.
But during the spring/summer months, I convert to a CAI.
But as of now, I'm with my SRI and I don't really notice a loss of power. But remember, my SRI is along side the battery.
Most SRI's I've seen don't curve all the way around the side of the battery like mine does.

use header wrap....you should anyways

well that's the thing i'm skeptical about because i keep reading about header wrap concentrating heat inside the header and causing it to break down. and then after a while the header wrap hardens turn brittle and then cracks. suppposedly its worse to have header wrap than to not have header wrap.
