I was wondering if anyone had the same problem im having. I purchased a 3000k ddm kit and wired it to the fog light wiring that i was using with some regular 2500k nokya bulbs, but the HIDs didnt turn on. the ballast works tested them up top with my low beams & the bulbs work tested em straight off the battery with alligator clips.

I didn't have mine wired up that way because when you flash your highs the fogs will flick off and on which isn't good for the ballast. I used a harness for my lows and fogs so that when my lows are on the fogs are on too, that way when I flash my highs the fogs stay on. Can't figure out why you'd be having that problem with yours.

be like it is
are you using a harness, or just tapped into somewhere, or?

ballasts need a lot of current to turn on...thats why they go on when you plug em onto the battery.

i had this same problem. try plugging it in the other way around. i know you have to force it in a bit says the guy at ddmtuning. aparently it was a reverse polarity issue. the way the plugs were designed doesn't fit into the fog plugs too well.

u know what i didnt try that. i bought the 01-03 civics with the harness n switch, but the ended up using an oem switch and basically custom wiring it because nothing worked. my fogs are independently, i turn em on n off when i want i dont have to turn my lows or worry about my highs or anything.

im gonna try it either today or later in the week looks like its gonna rain soon

Exact same issue here. DDM 3k kit for the fogs. Right side OEM harness was reversed. The plug doesn't "snap in" properly when you switch it around, which irritates me just a bit, but they both work now!

I wonder how common this is...

I think it's common across all Accords or even Honda's. It's no big deal, it just seems Honda made some of their plugs with +/- reversed. As far as fogs shutting off when you kick on high beams, you could always wire the fogs to come on with your parking lights.
