I have an 8K set as well.
Having problems keep them on, after everythings connected and i flip em on they just flash once and dont stay on... faulty ballasts?

I had the same problem in my RSX as well, that and flickering. I called ddm and they told me to bump the fuse up 5amps.
The good thing about honda wiring is they wire bigger than they need. I wouldnt recomend pushing over 5 amps tho just to be safe.
I would say go with the harnes and do it right the first time.
For clarification.. bumping the fuse up 5 amps isnt because its blowing the fuse, but because its not getting enough power flow to fully complete its job in time. The balast is timing itself out due to the bulb not ignighting to protect itself.
if u look on the ddm website, their should be a color chart. but to answer ur question, 8k is more blue than 6k, if theyre both 35w.
