High Mileage 6th Gens

98 LX 4-Cyl, 4AT.

Currently 193,863 miles. Transmission is a bit slippery out of first and into second, and sometimes out of second into third. I guess you could say I get a lot of "shift flares."

by the way, a friend of mines dad has a 2000 v6, last time i asked he had 317k on it.....so yeah 150k is just breaking it in lol

My '01 has just under 171k! and its the second engine in the car.

171k and 2nd engine? i've never heard of that one before! i've heard people being on their 2nd and sometimes 3rd tranny by that many miles on the same engine...

i got it from the guy with the second engine. '99 engine and tranny but now i need a new engine due to flooding

I'm on 173,XXX, 2000 Accord LX Coupe.

Question, I keep reading about 'Tranny slips / hits', what exactly is that? Is it when you are at a red light, light turns green, you hit the gas and you feel your car 'shift' forward when you reach certain RPM's/MPH's?

My 02 SE just hit 240k a couple weeks ago on original motor and 3rd tranny. Still running but engine is burning oil like a mofo and there's an exhaust leak, sounds like a diesel almost

Just gonna drive it around til it dies since it's a good beater for parking in the city, retards in NY can't park for ****

276,471 Miles. Just scheduled maintenance and one power steering pump. Runs perfect and still goes over 130 MPH on a flat road.

Hm, mine isn't considered high mileage relative to the posts here, but I have about 125K miles on mine. Original clutch, but feels like I would need to replace it in about the next 20-30K miles.
