Next you'll need to figure out some deep water mods incase the creek rises while you're out there skinnin' coons, or packin' a bloody mule deer out on the roof rack.:goyou:

Wow, just read through this whole thread and only saw maybe like 5 or 6 helpful posts. Seriously guys, did you not read how he just finished paying off his accord, that an accord is all he ever wanted, and that he doesn't wanna buy another vehicle? And he's not really going "off-roading" with it, he just needs to cross some creeks to get to trail heads, so he doesn't really need an atv or an suv. I'd say go with the ideas about some bigger tires, some custom springs, and see how it sits then get back to us with how it's looking.

im pretty sure an ATV could do all u just posted and cost him less than suspension and tires

call me crazy, but when people cross creeks and get to trail heads, MORE OFTEN THAN NOT i see them using ATVs/SUVs, not accords with "bigger tires and custom springs"

but hey, be hardheaded and do it with an accord :buttkick:

cause that makes sense

infact, if it was too far to ride on an ATV, id drive my accord to the area with a small trailer/ATV in the back...

but hey, thats just me in my crazy meth-addicted world ... what do i know

i guess using truck tires and possibly using custom springs/coilovers to raise the car an inch/inch and a half is the only choice... and no alternatives should be considered whatsoever

Hey I didn't say truck tires. And what would be the point of towing a trailer with the atv in it if you still need to get across the creek to get to the trail head?

Btw, since it may/may not have an impact on the atv debate, how far are you traveling from your house til you get to any of the creeks, and then how far from the creeks do you have to travel to get to the trail head?

i went on a bit of a rant there...

park the car & trailer somewhere, go for a boot with the ATV accross the creek, dead hookers, road kill, whatever might be blocking you from your destination

Might as well start by trying some 205-75-15's on there, some great traction tires available in that size and you'll gain over an inch in ground clearance. Is this a silver 4-door from New York? I saw a pic of one going through a bunch of mud on another site.

The pic was on Honda-Tech. What's the budget on these mods anyway? For all-out off-road traction check the Kumho R700's out, biggest is 205-65-15, I think. They'd probably last like the DOT knobbies on my XR650. The Goodyear Ultra snow tire has a cool directional tread available in 205-70-15, could get a tire grooving tool and open it up some more, still keeping to the same tread pattern:thumbup:
