just wanted to ask some questions...
im planning to go back to school asap....(finished freshmen year only at UCR)
curruntly working full-time as a manager/part-time private drum lesson instructor..i had to take a break(it has been year now), because i was involved in a huge accident...(not my fault tho....100% guy who rear ended me).
but n e ways, when i do go back to school, i may also need to work at the same time....so my question is

how many classes are you taking while you are working? and how many days/hours are you working? i know it is do-able, but i just want to see how hard it would be....
if it turns out to be too hard, i might just go to community college, taking one or two classes, then transfer later on....you know, for money saving reason...let me know how you guys handling this situation....thx

Same here, I go to school twice a week, I don't take as many classes as Peter since I'm the one paying for them...I work full time plus overtime and its been the same for the last 5 years.

last year i took 12 credits both semesters (full time) and worked 25-40 hours a week. my usual shifts were 3 days of the week 4-10, 8-9 hours on saturday and sunday. its hard and youll lose tons of freetime but at least youll have cash :D

It all kinda depends on what you're studying and what the jobs are. I once took 18 credits (6 classes) five days a week, worked on campus 3 hours a day at one of the campus departments, worked again from 5 - 8 as a mortgage broker, and then worked Fri - Sun at restaurant another 15 hours. I don't suggest doing that, but I had to to do what I had to do.
My best suggestion, get a weekend job waiting tables. Better than average money for the hours spent, and you can take as many classes as you need to get done with school when you want. Best of luck to you, cause i've been there, i know its a bitch, and i'm glad i finally graduated!
