How many time's per day do you red line?

+1 lol. except i have to wait until 3.5k rpm for it to really kick in.

I never redline, and if anyone thinks our cars are made for that they are dead wrong. I've never gone above 6k, but of course that's hard to do with an auto. I regret to admit that I've hit maybe 5800 or so a few times since I've owned the car - but I stopped doing that permanently b/c it just sounds so strained, and it's not worth possibly hurting internals.

I get enough thrills from 3.5 - 4.5k. I never accelerate hard from stop, and I always let the tranny shift into 2nd before I get on it. I do this maybe 3 times a week. Sometimes I get just as much satisfaction just cruising along, especially when I just detailed.

Please, let us have no more talk of ricing. It always ends poorly. In a thread like this Greg, it is to be expected that idiots will be proud of revving their car to limit, or tearing the sh*t out of the engine. LOL the title asks about redlining.. Proving things is like telling a dog that it's stupid - simply won't work.

i redline 2nd gear when entering freeway. (~40mph)
2nd gear redline again when jammed traffic clears.
sometimes redline 3rd gear when passing slower/pending traffic cars (~82mph)
and finally engage 3rd gear revmatching engine brake when exiting freeway.

No, people doing their ricer antics and still representing this site is messed up. Aaaaand...eventually, if they do that crap enough, one of those things will happen and it'll be their own fault, not mine.

well if its messed to you and u got a problem with it maybe you should leave the forum and hopefully find another one that doesnt have any "ricers." I dislike ricers myself, but thats just a matter of opinion between different people. i dont see any ricers here, instead i see people who drive 6GA's and likes their car enough to be involved in this forum and they do not need haters so go on youtube to hate and bash as much as you want. just respect your own forums and the people who use it!
