im talking about driving one of the worlds most reliable cars to my set limit for it and i wouldnt consider my limit hard but i dont baby it and i dont beat on it. i never go more then like 95 it as a matter of fact my gps says my max speed was 93. one thing for sure is that no car is going to go maintenance free for ever something will happen to each and every car in its life. for example i beat the **** out my 5th gen and she loves it never had any major issues with it EVER regular maintenance is all she asks. but i know people who have blew motors in cars just doing normal driving. when it comes to driving a cars every one has there own opinions on how the right way to drive it is.. for me i love driving is one of my favorite things to do so i keep it safe and enjoyable while doing spirited driving styles ftw.

when it comes to driving a cars every one has there own opinions on how the right way to drive it is.. for me i love driving is one of my favorite things to do so i keep it safe and enjoyable while doing spirited driving styles ftw.

funny you should mention it...my #2 piston actually has it. i thought it was the valves but they were all in spec. it goes away when it warms up, so thats probably what it is. oh well.

It's the fact that 6thGenAccord.com does not support street racing and/or reckless driving. IF you are redlining your car, you are doing one of the two.
For the 5spd, 1st gear fuel cutoff is about 30mph, 2nd is 65, and 3rd is 100.
I don't want that kind of person being a member on a site I donate my money to. I don't want to be a hypocrite, I bring my car to redline everyday, either getting onto a freeway or passing a car, but I also drive the speed limit. For those of you who voted for 7+ times a day, that's just ****ing ridiculous and I can only assume the 7 people that hit the redline 19 to 30+ times a DAY sit and rev in the parking lot like idiots. THAT is the definition of rice.
PS - I didn't see one single member post the reason why they hit the line 30+ times a day... most of us know who legally races at the track and who doesn't, that is the ONLY situation I can see that possible.

Allright I feel that since this turned into a crazy bash-fest argument, I would like to add a little.
I redlined my car... all of the time, well not 30+ times a day rofl, but more than I should have... my auto tranny died.
I now have my 6 speed... while I can't redline till I get Richie's module, I assume that maybe once a day or once every few days I'll probably redline first and second, just for the fast accel, then slow down.
Here's the facts on what I do- yes, sometimes I take it up there, but NO I don't go over the speed limit. It makes me feel like an idiot every time I do, and yes a ricer too... but it's fun imo. (It's REALLY funny when I hit redline in first, then back off and go 35 in a 35, then minivans pass me going like 45 a few seconds later
On a side note... I do have a V6, which is much more powerful than a autotragic i4, so it's not like I'm just making noise and going nowhere, the V6's have a bit more push to them. I'm not proud of taking it up there, and I'll probably get a reckless driving ticket one day and wise up further, but I've already eased off a lot since I first had my car.
I mean at the same time I was a freshman in college when I first got my car, so you know.. fresh out of highschool and feeling free.
AAAANYWAY, I think redlining isn't some evil sin that should be avoided, and I have seen many engines that benefit from being revved up every once in a while, but at the same time you shouldn't be redlining it everywhere you go. Just be smart with your car!
And to those of you saying that you don't need to go over 3k shifting to get on the freeway... you're crazy!
