DIY connecting E-brake line after rear disk conversion. I wanted to improve the braking in my car, since my DX model has no ABS, so I did a rear disk swap. I realize that at high speed drums are not as reliable. After doing my 4 lug rear disk swap I realized that my e-brake line is totally different.

I used some ties to hold the line to the caliper assembly, since the force is not being exerted on it. This just holds the line in place.

After a couple of minutes in the hardware store, I realized U bolts were my answer, so I purchased a pair of small ones.

Now my e-brake works.

I would just buy the proper cables from the dealer, TAS or junkyard. I wouldn't trust the saddle clamp.

Are you trying to use the drum disk handbrake cables? There is a reason there are diffent cables for the disk brake. This is extremely dangerous.

Just get the proper ebrake cables. They're not that much and they take little to no time to swap out.
