This is the 98-00 unit but the same exact thing can be done for the 01-02. Just grab some red tail light tape and cut a piece that is big enough to get you adhesion on both sides of the hole, and slap it on behind the rear defrost button. Button is the OEM orange in daylight, but illuminates as red at night. I guess if you were doing a red HVAC theme, you could save yourself some money and just use this behind every button instead of buying LED's.

I need to take out the filters behind the Mode and A/C buttons.

Since this is a climate control thread some what of topic but my recirculation button doesn't work anymore :(

What happens when you press on it? Does the little light still come on? Or does nothing happen?

I’d be surprised if something was wrong wiring-wise. Maybe the flappers aren’t closing somewhere, or something is jammed. Those are just guesses…

It gets you less blue in the display. I didnt notice a difference at first but I notice it now.

Ah. I like it vibrant right now, the picture exaggerates it a little bit though.

Good to know though.
