you never noticed that the majority of "homeless" people have "Vietnam Vet" on their cardboard signs? ... i swear, i see that sht all the time ... yea i feel bad for them, but since i don't know if they are for real i don't give them money ... it sucks for real vets and or homeless ppl that need help
btw i seen that in a movie ... homeless guy takes off his rags revealing a nice suit ... jumps into his mercedes ... forgot which one it was though lol

one time i was at mc'donalds ... this guy asked me for a dollar so he can get a burger ... i gave him a buck and he walked away laughing ... he didn't even go into the mc'donalds, just walked right past
This one time at band camp..... lol j/k. I just ignore people begging for money. If they have the balls to ask then I just tell em "Sorry only have plastic". They are sneaky though. They will hang around public places like malls, grocery stores etc and ask for a dollar to catch the bus or something. Pathetic.

This kind of thing happened to me while I lived in Chicago. Since then, I never give out money unless they don't have legs. If you can walk, you can work at a scrap yard.
The thing to do is if a guy says he needs money for food, you keep a few gift certificates in your pocket for mcdonald's, etc...this way they can't go spend the money on cigs or booze.
OR what I do is if I see someone approaching me for money, I get to them first & say, "hey got any spare change?"
