its over heated twice. and i do go through coolant. ive had to put about 3 cups of more coolant in there this week.

why would it only do this when i just first start the car? after a little gas and time fore it to warm up it runs just fine...

also ive noticed it doesnt really have that bad of a starting problem after its being sitting for a little while.. like the first thing in the morning.. but after i start driving around and have to keep turning the car on and off is when is starts acting up.

Shifted to second.. Same thing all power lost but would keep going past 4grand

Classic clutch symptom. I don't understand how that would tie in with the other things you describe. Check your ignition components - plugs, sparks in wire, etc.

Eating coolant? Then it's definitely head gasket unless you have leak. Do you have any oil in your coolant overflow reservoir at all? Losing power would make sense then - blowing by coolant under pressure and decreasing oil pressure.

also.. yesterday when i changed the plugs.. i noticed there was oil on the old plugs but only on cylinder 2 and 3.. none 1 and 4.. no sure if that relates to anything

and wouldnt i be getting a check engine light if i had a dead cylinder?

Check to see if your oil looks milky...which would be a symptom of a blown head gasket.
