whats the link
mounting amps to your box is a bad idea i would recommend that you mount them to the back of your set and bolt them down good. the reason for that is if you mount them to your box if someone breaks into your car and tries to steal your stuff if they take you box they get the amp too. i know that some ppl will argue that they have a really good alarm system but if someone wants your stuff bad enough they will get it. so limit your possible losses.

Wow thats REALLY nice... and yes i do have a question =) how many sq ft did you need for the trunk and the whole inside only 1 layer and it wasnt dynamat xtreme hu? what was the cost for all the mat?

On another note where do you get the techflex at? I have been looking for some but could never find it. I use it cause i make custom interior lighting and wire harnesses.

I used a bunch, somewhere north of 300 sq ft over the years!! The last time I added about 240 sq ft when I did the headliner and everything. I used Raammat and liked it alot. I taped the edges with foil tape cause it will ooze and get everywhere. I also used ensolite (the foam stuff over the mat) which helped with panel gap vibration. Dynamat Xtreme is great stuff, but expensive. The last time I used it, I used two bulk packs (36 sq ft each) and did one layer in the trunk and most of the interior of a 5th gen accord. When I worked on my truck, an 03 ZR2 S-10 X-cab, I used two rolls with good coverage top to bottom. I mounted the amp in the headliner so I didn't put but three layers on the roof, but did alot around the transmission tunnel and wheel wells.
If I were to do another car I'd stick with the raammat or try second skin. I competed against a bunch of guys that used it with great results as well.
The rolls of raammat are about $120 for 60 sq ft, and was about the best that I could find with good adhesion, price, ease of install and coverage. You can spend as much as you like, but it never hurts to go a little overboard!!

Come on over!! I'm only in knoxville so you won't have to go far. On top of that I am about to move into my new house so the garage needs a good breaking in!!!
As for the techflex, I got it from a guy outside of Nashville that sells it on Ebay as fuzzyletters. He was very easy to deal with, and since at the time I was local I went to his place and picked out what I needed and went on my way. It was a little frustrating at first but I figured it out and it turned out well. I would recommend on getting adhesive shrink for everything. When I redid the battery mount in the trunk, a few pieces wanted to twist and pull because of the new orientation, and the techflex would come loose. I used graphite for all the signal, and black for everything else. You really can't have too much!! I even did my H/U and alarm wiring with it!! To show people how well it looks I just pop up the rear seat or have them look at the head rest monitor cables that come out under the seats.
