Holy crap, what area of the car exactly are we talking about and what size? A DA makes pretty quick work out of sanding and paper sure doesn't cost that much. Just sayin

It's about a 3 inch wide and maybe about 8 inches long strip above the windows on the driver side. They said that was with an insurance discount too.

That seems reasonable for that repair by itself but since they are already spraying in that area, it seems high. They aren't truly facing extra materials and such. Sounds like a pretty raw deal to me.

Now to add insult to injury, they called me today and told me my competition subs were stolen out of my trunk along with my amp and wiring... This is getting stupid.

Agreed! Dude, it's your car, remember that. You are not stuck in this situation and they aren't gonna reimburse you for any of this crap. Might just be time to pull the plug on that shop!

Actually the manager was the one that called me Today because the guy i was talking to got fired... Trust me i want to yank all my hair out, but he's actually going to replace my system with a new one with the exact equipment i had. My sister is a paralegal for a law firm that does business law and once i mentioned that he offered to replace the system and one i go there tomorrow morning (which he doesn't know i am) I'm going to get him to paint the "debated" clear coat for my troubles.

That sounds better. Don't be afraid to lean on em a bit for the bs they have put you through. Any business owner that values his rep should be scrambling to make you happy at this point imho.

Yeah the manager said he doesn't typically deal with customers too much but I'm a special case. He said he's going to deal with me directly so EVERYTHING gets taken care of. He said i shouldn't have to talk to anyone but him. Which in a way i can see it covering his own a** a little but helping me out too. I told him I'd be consulting with my sister and her law firm every step of the way too. So maybe now some stuff can start getting done.
