I found the diy posted here. It was a good diy about pspec but worked just the same as JTC. She's in, feels good, I haven't driven it yet, just shifted in the driveway. Smooth, short throws. I have it raised to the highest level, and attached in the top hole. The knob is set to 2nd lowest, since the lowest was hitting the frame.

New Design

I went to order a JTC short shifter and said out of stock. I thought they went under like PSPEC did.

I contacted them and a Tommy Carroll replied saying they have redesigned them saying their "version 2" will "include a few more components" with a "better overall design". He says it's based on feedback and they'll email me when they have the version 2 in stock. He said as soon as mid this month. I'm wrapping up my 5spd swap so good timing.

Wow, $40? Good first buy deal. I'm waiting on inventory still.

i believe the obx ones are more like adapters that sit in the bottom, kind of like the old neuspeed ones. i'm sure it works compared stock. it wont change height, just the throw iirc.

The adapters work best if you also cut down your stock shifter 2" and rethread it for a new knob. Thy all work on the same principle of moving up the linkage to shorten the throw, and a $10 one is as good as a $90 one. Why are we talking about adapters in the JTC true short shifter thread? Back to topic..
