Keep Stock Interior Speakers?

Yea im changing the radio too , so just the door speakers should be changed? And i haven't pulled it apart yet is it pioneer all around stock?

if you dont have passengers in the back seat, youll never miss the rears.

i dont know if they're pioneer-made, but they definitely look and feel like speakers from the 1950s

aftermarkets? definitely.

not only will they sound better (think of 12w from the headunit...its being pushed hard. 50w from an amp will barely be working), but you'll also get the benefits of less heat behind the headunit which can shut it down, no dimming of the display when the inboard amp is using power, and the ability to upgrade the speakers easily in the future.

the downsides are more effort; running speaker wire to the doors from the amp, and running a distribution block if youre also using a sub amp. but that's not too bad since the power wire will already be there for the sub amp...

Yea thanks guys i really appreciate it the tips and advise. I think with the interior I'm gonna change the door speakers n get an amp for them. Definitely change the radio and hopefully get a decent sub. once again i thank all of you , Oh one more question. Im most likely gonna change the deck before i get any of the amps, speakers and subs. The new (50w) deck wont hurt those speakers for now right?

head units are rated at max wattage not rms so it'll be fine. the rms is probably somewhere between 12 and 18 for that unit

has anyone who uses the stock speakers taken one out and looked at it?

also, the only speaker i've ever blown was a stock 6.5" off headunit power. you cannot blow a speaker by underpowering it, so 12 or 14 watts was all it took...

never looked at the 6th gen stock speakers but when i pulled the stockers out of my 4th they looked pretty poor. I was only trying to say that for the average person who doesnt care that much about having an awesome system and only wants to add a little bass, stock speakers work fine.

and if you cnt blow a speaker underpowering it, what would happen if you are giving a speaker less power than its rated to handle, but you have the volume maxed and the bass boost and gain cranked to the max as well so that even though you arent "overpowering it", you are still clipping the hell out of the signal and can damage it that way. I understand if you were implying "clean underpowered"
