Keyless entry - new remote battery - works when it wants to - help!

Just when I thought I nailed fixing my keyless entry...

at times it fails to lock/unlock

I encountered this problem before and simply unplugged my alarm near the drivers side cause I couldn't drive at all. (PS im RHD) - but now I really need keyless entry as its getting annoying using the key all the time

I've replaced the remote with a new battery, and programmed the remote sucessfully - however it still doesn't lock/unlock on first click, only after x amount of attempts

Is there something wrong with the receiver?
Perhaps something wrong with the car battery being weak?

Help appreciated!

Probably poor connection between the battery and the remote, spring is most likely worn out

I used to have a similiar problem with mine. You should check the connection to the alarm antenna if yours has one, which im sure it does, mine was loose and worked when it wanted to.
