BTW that plate is your spring perch, you need it. When I got my set the perches were gold/brass in color. But its necessary unless youre running GC sleeve overs which have a perch built into the bottom of the spring

i give you rep points :p

Yup, directly under the perch the spring is sitting on. You'll see it, its just a metal clip and should be yellow if its never been removed. You shouldnt need a hammer, just gently pry it up until its free out of the ringland and you'll be able to slide it down into the next groove.
It'll be easier to make sense of it once you see what Im talking about

he's right. i have the yellows on my coupe. like he said just use a flathead to slide it down. the only thing i want to change.. is it's not as time consuming as he says. i did my front end in under 40 minutes, and that was with taking the whole shock/spring assembly out. on the backend, depending on the springs for your current drop you won't even need to take the shock/spring assembly off the car. once lifted there may be just enough play on the spring seat plate to move it up and out of the way enough to slide the snapring clip from top to bottom groove. or vica versa. there is with my progress springs at least. but other spring rates may prove that to be more difficult than i described. the front you will either have to take the assembly out to compress it, find a spring compressor that fits over the spring without hitting the upper control arms. or have a fairly strong friend push up on the spring seat as you slide the snapring down/up. or you push the seat they slide the ring. figuring out the best method of freeing up the snapring enough to move it is the most time consuming part. once its moveable it takes mere seconds to adjust the snapring..

So you can't adjust height while everything is on the car?

I will treat anyone to a steak dinner that makes a nice DIY guide for this. lol
