Yup, directly under the perch the spring is sitting on. You'll see it, its just a metal clip and should be yellow if its never been removed. You shouldnt need a hammer, just gently pry it up until its free out of the ringland and you'll be able to slide it down into the next groove.
It'll be easier to make sense of it once you see what Im talking about

I'm debating between Koni yellows and Tokico Illuminas, just trying to get an image in my head of how Koni's are adjusted. Sorry if i sound like a noob, but from what you described it sounds like a retaining ring that is supporting the full weight of the vehicle? What if that fails? Do my struts just bottom out? I would love to see a high resolution picture of koni's.

Can you post pics of it done. I might buy these because sleeves don't go low enough in the rear

lmao, thats what i was thinking when i got mine installed, but i guess the thing holds on for dear life. Mine only had 2 perch settings, i think its the neuspeed version that has 3, not sure. But the perch that the springs sit on can be taken off or moved out of the way and directly under it u will see the small ring and the indents for the other perch locations. Good job getting that done :D

Rook; Konis manhandle Illuminas and steal their lunch money. I just helped my friend put a set of Reds on his Legend following my recommendation and now he's a lifelong fan.

I am having my rears and one front replaced this weekend, and putting new springs on. I wasn't the original buyer of the Yellows so no lifetime warranty coverage for me. Anyway, I'll see if I can get some photos.

Some info for you guys.

KONI Yellows have two types of adjustability. One is the spring purch. You can move it up or down 3 - 5 notches, depending on the kind of shocks for what kind of vehicle you have. In the case of the Accord - they are traditionally 5.

Second thing - and this is what makes the shock "ADJUSTABLE" is the Rebound damping setting. This opens or closes the tiny holes on the inside of the shock that allows the oil to pass-through. The smaller the holes - the less the oil flows. This makes the shock stiffer.

If your looking for a performance adjustable shock - Koni Yellows hands down. Yea you can get the function/form, STD, K-Sport, VMaxx or any other 699 bottom basement chinamans Coilover, but its not worth it IMO, especially if your looking for a QUALITY Product.

Second thing is this. Ground Controls are good. They aren't the greatest. The only thing that you need to remember is that most people buy ground controls to put custom spring rates - which is something your only going to do if your doing real performance driving.

Throw on some Eibach Sportlines and have yourself a very happy day.
