Ive seen that DIY. It's what got me started, lol. Like you said, it's simple but a lot of work. I also have the worst luck. I could follow that thing step-by-step and still manage to screw something up, lol. I like the blue indicators and clock but Im not a fan OF blue lights. I know that's weird, lol.
There's nothing wrong with taking your time and doing it right the first time though.
